"Every swimmer, every day, every way…having fun, learning and competing"
You may have heard the terms "JO Cuts", "State Cuts", "A Times", and "B Times" and not been clear what those terms mean. Making a JO or State cut means that a swimmer has achieved a time at a USS sanctioned meet, that allows them entry into the Junior Olympic Meet or the Michigan USS State Meet. "A" and "B" times are simply used to help group swimmers into races against swimmers of the same ability level. Swimmers who have achieved "A" times in a given event, swim against other swimmers who have achieved "A" times in that same event.
